The Zimbabwe Industrial Hemp Trust (ZIHT) has place in the southern African nation’s 1st legal hemp crop following becoming awarded a 1st license. ZIHT, primarily based in Harare, stated it planted six industrial hemp varieties in a pilot project.
“The positive aspects that will be derived from the production of industrial hemp are huge and varied,” Agriculture Minister Perence Shiri stated at a ceremony marking the inaugural planting. “This pilot project will deliver critical information . . . for the effective production of this crop,”

Strict guidelines stay
